Fall Vacation

The Troutbirders will be heading West this fall. Plans are set to visit his cousin Roger and spouse Marky in Portland. This will be great. Then they will head north to VanCouver B.C., Victoria and VanCouver Island , where some serious beachcombing will take place. Mrs. T will bring her usual supply of bells and pepper spray for protection against marauding bears.

  3. TB,

Sounds like a great trip. My wife and I took our honeymoon in the Vancouver area. The scenery is fantastic, the people even friendlier, and the blueberries were as big as my thumb.

We stayed in a houseboat along the Fraser River. We recommend the place highly, not only for the hospitality and quarters, but also for the close proximity to the ferry to Vancouver Island.

  4. Well that sign maker was certainly creative.
Forget the bells and pepper spray, I would stay inside. I would rather not encounter a brown bear, black, bear or any kind of bear.
