Eagle Quiz
Mrs T and I will be participating in something very interesting on Jan. 16th, through the National Eagle Center in Wabasha Minnesota. More on that later. For now, see if you can correctly answer the following question
That sound really great TB. It reminds me that at one time they used to give lectures in our university hall and I wonder if they still do. I must find out about it and go. Thanks for the reminder.
We have many bald eagles flying over us here in Coastal North Florida, and I think the lower photo looks more like the eagles we see. I agree with another commenter that it may be an immature bald eagle.
I understand the Golden Eagle to be larger than the bald...that's what they say here in Maine anyway. I haven't seen the Golden yet, at first glance- the lower pic looks like an immature as another reader suggested. Hey-is this a trick question teacher? What's the answer?!
I'll call the top one a golden eagle and the bottom one a juvenile bald eagle.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to get to that center some time, but we no longer go to Lake City. Family had been there since about 1953, but no one there any more.

ReplyDeleteThis is the third year in a row that I couldn't make one of these dates because of work or poor weather. I hope you have fun and learn lots!
ReplyDeleteI also have an idea the top is a Golden and the bottom is the (immature) Bald eagle! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other guessers. Will you be able to get around in all of that snow?
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting. We are seeing a few of the Bald Eagles along the Rock River south of there.
ReplyDeleteMarnie
Naw.. I'm not able to guess. WE have Bald eagles that hunt over our house, but I still can't tell!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time at this event.
