Home Front

Now back on the home front a big thank you to all those who commented and called wishing me well on my recent hospitalization. The complex technology available to modern medicine is amazing to say the least.  More familiar and less amazing was the simple explanatory diagram the cardiologist drew on the whiteboard in my hospital room. As a former teacher that was something I knew how to do...:) Oops DJan commented the diagram makes no sense. Absolutely. The circles are where the veins enter the left and right atrium. That's where they found the short circuits. They interrupt the electrical pathways by burning (cauterizing) them. Simple huh... like finding a needle in a haystack.

  1. Glad it's all over and you're "firing on all cylinders" again. That diagram might have meant something to you, but the previous picture was easier for me to understand! Congratulations on having been successfully ablated... :-)

  5. Glad you are home safe and sound. I'm sure you feel pretty beat up what with the insertion site(s) and the really hard table you had to lie upon. Rest easy, good blogger buddy and don't try to do too much too soon.

  6. That diagram could just as easily be a football play, for all I know. I assume everything went according to plan. Congrats on the successful procedure. And thanks for posting. I'll bet you're very happy to be home after all that.

  10. Glad you are up and about and back home. I haven't commented much is months, but I do keep up with your blog, sometimes from my phone, but it is hard to post from the phone. We've had several trips to the adult kids this year: Utah, NC, and Wis. The Wisconsin bunch live inland from Winona. Happy fall.

  12. Well, the doc isn't much of an artist on paper, but at least he is with what he does best! I'm glad to hear that you're on the mend.

  13. Glad to hear that everything went well. I assume the doctor is a better surgeon than he is artist.

  15. I'm so happy to hear you had such good results. I may have this same procedure in my future according to my doctor. It is good to hear that such things are beneficial.
