Tomorrow after some hesitation over the weather , we'll be heading north, on Interstate 75, thru storm paralyzed Atlanta to visit  our friends Allan and Diane in  Tennessee. The Great Smoky N.P. is on  the agenda and then back to Gopherland...

Sebastian Florida

This week the Troutbirders find themselves finally enjoying some eighty degree weather in Sebastian, Florida on the Atlantic coast.  A highlight so far was a visit to Merritt  Island, location of a wonderful National Wildlife Refuge, and the Kennedy Space Center. I can't wait to get the pictures organized and tell the stories.  Next week it's off to visit some friends in Tennessee and then home to snowy Minnesota.  Remembering when all is said and done "there is no place like home...."

Here in the small fishing village of Cedar Key, which is located on the Gulf Coast of Florida's Big Bend," we're settled in quite nicely in our cottage on the bayou. The locals are a little uptight about the recent  cold snap but for us the nighttime temps in the low forties make for good snuggling weather and daytime sixties means lots of hikes and photography.
