I can well imagine the dreams you have about the orange pumpkin head in the White House and we all share them! It still boggles the mind that enough people voted for him to elect him president.

ReplyDeleteInterestingly enough Minnesota's "Iron Range (North Central and Easter) was a stronghold for the DFL (Democratic Farmer Labor Party) for decades. The Mining Industry was strongly unionized and Democrats like John Blatnik were elected year after year to Congress particularly as a result of FDR "New Deal" The Democrats have forgotten their blue collar base as well as made other tactical errors particularly prioritizing some "social issues" above bread and butter ones. Minnesota's 8th Congressional District is no long reliably Democratic.
ReplyDeleteThat is correct, we voted DFL for years. Then things just got out of whack and our area of Minnesota is now either Independent or GOP. I used vote Independent...but a look at the issues has me leaning GOP. After 8 DFL yeaqrs perhaps it is time for a change. I think term limits would benefit our country...throw the ones serving 8-12 years Senators and Reps out...without retirement benefits:) Radical I know:)
