German Shepard Dogs (GSD's) a retrospect a

Daisy is a country girl. A little older, a lot wiser and more sophisticated. Agile and quick. A real athlete. And not above being a big tease. She belongs to Gary & Bobbi.

Baron.  He lives in suburbia.  He is  tall and somewhat gangly. Kind of awkward at times. Not very worldly.  He loves to chase & go for long hikes. He belongs to the Troutbirders.

She was abandoned, wandered a while but found a farm home with Steve and Jewel.  Now she is contented to guard her new home. She arrived on Easter Sunday.  Naturally her name is Lily. She has befriended Mrs. T who always gives her treats. She is content and very friendly.

For Baron with the extremely cold and snowy weather of late there haven't been many romps in the woods. Even the dogs can’t wait till spring.

  2. I'm so glad Lily found a good home. It gets me so angry to hear someone abandoned an animal. Poor baby! These are beautiful dogs...of course Baron is exceptionally handsome!! :-) How nice that they can play together!

  3. I owned a German Shepherd once, about 40 years ago. His name was Banjo. They're very nice dogs. Now, we don't own any pets at all.

  4. Beautiful German Shepherds--all of them. Amazing at all of the different personalities in dogs... Just like people!!!!

We don't have any spring either down here.. Think someone needs to wake up Mrs. Spring and tell her that it's time to visit us!!!!!

    Happy Palm Sunday.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  6. What a lovely couple. What young fellow doesn't want an older woman in his life at one time or another.
So nice that Lily's sad days are over and she has a wonderful home and a handsome playmate.

    Are they gifts to us?

  11. Love those German Shepherds. The only ones that shed more hair than our Goldens.

  12. Tis lovely that Lily found her own forever home! Not many romps happening here either..we had to snow blow a poop path..the snow is way to deep. No more taking short cuts through the woods:)

  19. Hang on! Spring is nearly here. Well, actually, it is here, if you lived here. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Lovely dogs. Give them a pat on the head for me. I once was a GSD's person.

  25. What beautiful dogs! You don't see many shepards anymore. Or Irish Setters. Or Collies, either. These were the dogs that were popular when I was young. Now, everyone has little pocket-sized dogs.

  26. I hope you and Lily are doing okay! Your Baron was a once in a lifetime dog and boy they are hard to get over ...but maybe we aren't supposed to get over them :(

  27. Baron looks as if he is pleading, “Please please can’t we go for a walk now?” Funny how they all have different personalities despite being the same breed. Baron, you are such a handsome boy!
