Surprise!
When the temperature hit 80 degress last week I knew it was time to get out of my long winters nap. Time to get the camper ready for summer outings, clean out the garage, rake the flower bed, pump up the bicycle tires, pick up sticks in the yard, change the oil in the garden tractor, wash the truck etc. etc. So earlier this week when I got up to get going and looked out the window. Oh #$%^&*.........

Ha! This is how I've felt. We had near-80 degree weather in January, but it snowed here just 2 weeks ago - it only ever snows once every few years here on CA's coast. It's been a wacky spring if there ever was one.
ReplyDeleteThat's how "OUR" yard looked the morning of April 17. Now, a lot of that snow has melted. Not too much green color anywhere yet though, but I've seen a few signs. Your last photo is terrific: The one bright spot in your day! LOL
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. Yesterday was the first day it hadn't snowed in 5 days, but as I look out my window it's snowing again.

ReplyDeleteWe haven't had the snow, but we have been flirting with freezing nighttime temperatures after warm weather caused all the Spring flowers to bloom and the roses start to grow like crazy. So I share your sentiments.

ReplyDeleteThe weather this spring really SUCKS! We don't have snow this week but we've had frost and it's too cold to work outside today and the rain is supposed to be back tomorrow and for the next 5 days :(

Great Daffodil picture. It has been snowing here for the last few days. I think you said it best with Oh #$%^&*.........Oh well. Pretty soon I will be complaining about it being to hot:)
ReplyDeleteYIKES! That could happen in Maine too. Our snow from the April Fool's Day storm only just melted. I love your crushed daffodil photo. I'll send you warm thoughts from NYC but spring is late here too.
