Snowy in Florida and Minnesota

No, the photograph of Mrs. T. in the header was not taken in Siberia. In fact it,  was a picture of
her standing, snow shovel in hand, along our driveway in Bluff Country (Southeastern Minnesota).  Seemed like a good time to make a comparison of the wordy "snowy" as commonly applied in Minnesota and Florida..... The Florida birds are snowy egrets.

"Snowy".  I guess it depends a lot upon where you are.....:)

  2. I hope you don't make Mrs. T shovel anymore snow or she will fly away to Florida forever!

  4. TB: Mrs. TB, climb up on that huge snowbank so I can take your picture.

    Mrs T: I don't want to, I might fall.

TB: Don't worry, its only snow, you won't get hurt!

This has been the wurst winter I can ever remember!

  5. I love snow, but after a week being house bound, that Florida version sounds pretty good.

  6. My WI friends sent photographs of our former house. Makes our 14 inches seem small. Especially now that the temperature is in the 50s.

  7. Nice comparison of snow opposites. If the photos are this year , you rally have a lot of snow.

  9. Those Minnesota photos strengthen my thankfulness that I live in the South. Your post was an entertaining and informative contrast of the regions.

  10. Minnesota: not for the faint-hearted. I take a certain pride in that, but to tell the truth I'm getting a little sick of it. :)

  11. I love snow---but I'm sure for you all, you are SICK of it up there. We just don't see much down here...

I cannot imagine THAT much snow anywhere. Yipes...

The photo of Oak Hill Drie is gorgeous though.

    Hugs,

  19. How long did it take for you to shovel that street?

  20. You have to be built for that kind of snow. In other words, you need special genes I think.

  21. Lovely photos! We had 14 to 16 inches of snow and a little more is in the forecast. I'm tired of it.
