Daydream Cottage

So there we were less than a mile downstream on Mason Creek to the Gulf of Mexico. Hidden in the woods was Daydream Cottage, so remindful of a north woods Minnesota cabin but with all the amenities and a tropical atmosphere. We knew at first sight we would love it.....  Come on along down the driveway and take a look.....

Actually besides hanging out on the porch and the dock we've been hiking/birding all the local parks and refuges with Miss Lily who is being kept a safe distance from the alligators. I'll have lots of pictures to post when we get home.....

  4. Looks great! Good to hear Miss Lily is allowed along on the adventures! :) We had temps in the 30's above zero but the hammer will drop any day now:(

  5. That looks like a really nice place. We have some similar places around here that I've considered. This pushes me in their favor for a fun weekend there even more.

  8. Your little cottage is ideal for you three. I'll be coming to southeast Florida in early April (we will be departing on a Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale).
I've not visited Florida before so we will take 2 days to visit my husband's friends in Miami. I don't know if we'll see the Everglades this trip. I don't have the extra time right now due to a Beginning Italian course I'm taking (can't miss too many classes). I would love to see the area you are in and Key West. Maybe next year.

  20. Sitting here at 23 degrees outside (but NO snow), I drool at the pictures and the lush greenery. But, daffodils are thru the ground, buds are forming, even if the cold froze the camellias that were open.
    Glad you are having fun!

  22. What a marvelous vacation and how nice to be able to take your dog! I hope you didn't get too close to those alligators yourself. You've missed quite a bit of winter.

I tried emailing you, but your centurytel address has changed. Mine is the same so can you send me your new email address when you return from vacation?

  23. Every year I think about going somewhere warm for the winter and every where I don't. I'm stuck here in the winter doldrums. Looks like you got away to a very nice place. Maybe next winter I'll follow your advise.
