Faced with my own poor record in learning how to cook for myself and today being Christmas day I decided to attend the free community dinner at the Methodist Church. It was great. Later perusing the word recipes I found the following link to some of my favorites that were on my book review blog. You can take a look at them by double-clicking on Mark Twain and myself in the picture at the top of this page
That was great that you had a welcoming place to go for dinner! Not only did you get a good meal, but had company as well! Wishing you a good 2020....it's got to get better for a lot of us!
ReplyDeleteYou have reminded me of my two brothers, frustrated hunters, who did most of their work around the Cuyahoga River, down in the valley. Their main game were raccoon, which they then drove out to my widowed aunt, for her larder.
ReplyDeleteNo fun cooking for one. It’s nice that the church offers meals. There are several around here that do that, offer a weekly community meal for anyone wanting a visit and a meal.
ReplyDeleteA Christmas community dinner was a great idea. May 2020 bring healing and unexpected blessings.
ReplyDeleteYou might find more community meals if you look around! Our small town has Wednesday breakfast at one church and supper at another!
