History Lesson 101

All right. Listen up. I can't help it. Once a history teacher always a history teacher. On July 16, 1945, near Almogordo New Mexico, American scientists, in celebration of an equally momentous day   July 16 1941,  successfully tested the first atomic bomb. That previous bomb was born those  few years earlier in St. Paul Minnesota. Ok Ok so its my birthday. That was rather lame.

Yesterday my anti coagulant clinic nurse called to tell me my INR recent blood test score was between 2 & 3.  Actually, she said I was "perfect". I asked her if she would repeat those exact same words to Mrs. T. At  75 Birthdays like that help to keep a guy  going....:)

  2. Well happy birthday to you. I have a first cousin that lives near the area in New Mexico. A close friend just moved near the area last week. I am glad your test turned out great. That means you can eat more cake or something.

  5. Happy Happy Birthday! Congratulation on your perfect blood test score. (Even being a former teacher I doubt you had the answers in advance.)

New Mexico, instead of the Land of Enchantment should be the Radioactive State. Our utterly insane government is still making nuclear bombs up in Los Alamos and storing them in tunnels in the mountains overlooking Albuquerque and down in Carlsbad is the nation's nuclear waste dump, an old salt mine, waiting for a fracking induced earthquake to start it leaking into the groundwater. I keep fresh batteries in my trusty Inspector Alert geiger counter which, sitting on the table here by the door is jumping back and forth between 38 and 42. The manual says don't worry if it's under 100 but does not specifically spell out how not to worry.

Alas. Once more, congratulations on that perfect blood test and Happy Birthday anyway.
