It's been hot and humid here lately. So sticky, in fact, that I've decided to move my biking time up to 7 a.m. Come on along. The Shadow knows the way.

Always on the lookout for criminal activity, The Shadow might spot some illicit motor vehicles. More likely to see some cows and birds though.

What's that? A herd of cowbirds

The trail seems pretty deserted this morning. Oh Oh. There's a suspicious looking character.
What a fun morning, and a great idea. Sometimes you have to slow down and enjoy what is around you. Loved the bike tour.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you stopping to smell the roses Shadow. :)
ReplyDeleteA fun place to ride. It doesn't appear Baron gets to go along after causing you to crash. I know every morning is different than the day before. Real nice post.
ReplyDeleteKia ora TB,
ReplyDeleteWhat a splendid ride! Thank you. Once again I drift back to my original place.
Cheers,
Robb
Enjoyed the ride along. Looks very peaceful and quiet and a nice place to get some uninterrupted thinking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bike path you have there! How far do you ride? Hubby and I used to ride a trail that was 22 miles round trip for us-but we have since gotten older , lazier, and hence fatter.
ReplyDeleteThe past two summers have just been way to busy ......
Wow, I have a lot of excuses!
What a lovely morning ride. The bird... another LBJ (little brown job)... AKA... the mysterious sparrow?
ReplyDeleteNice bike ride tour! How far do you ride? Great post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice day for a bike ride - thanks for taking us along! :-) I don't know who that little bird is. She's very pretty, though.
ReplyDeleteNice place to ride, TB. Been hot here too but supposed to cool off again after today. My poor eyes just can't see the bird well enough to make a guess;) I need a bigger monitor.

Taking to the bike trail is almost as good as hiking. Like the shadow, though, I usually end up stopping so often to take pictures that I might as well have walked! Sorry, I can't help on the bird ID, but I think the yellow flower might be Jerusalem artichoke. Is your bike trail an old railroad spur that's been given new life?
ReplyDeleteNice photos! Thanks for taking us along for the bike ride!!
ReplyDeleteBoy, that trail looks really nice. Hard to tell on the sparrow though.....maybe clay-colored?
ReplyDeleteThankyou so much for a wonderful ride...
