So what do teachers do upon retirement? Here,
our friend Jewel, a former middle school colleague of mine, has uplifting moments on the bucket of a front end
loader. She is on her way up to some
eaves on one of her and Steves farm buildings that need painting. Mrs. T, also a
retired teacher, took these photos. Her focus these days seems to be more along the
lines of keeping Troutbirders “Honey Do List” up to date….
Wow, that's a ride! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI would sure be scared up on that thing, but wouldn't one of those be handy to have. I could think of a dozen projects---that dear hubby would have to do-LOL!
ReplyDeleteNice! Looks a bit scary but kind of fun at the same time. :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would take a ride in that!
ReplyDeleteThose retired teachers can be a rough and tumble bunch.I have a few friends including myself who have tried retirment and then found other endeavors.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope your honey-do list doesn't include risking life and limb! Keep those feet planted on terra firma.
ReplyDeletei'd like these chores. :)
ReplyDeleteI used to be a teacher - but I don't do heights! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, we are pretty much a diverse bunch of people in the things we can do.
ReplyDeleteWe're on a countdown to hubby's retirement and I'm making a huge list of all the things there hasn't been time to do with him working. It won't include anything that far off the ground, thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new header photo!
Mrs. T took such a good photographs they made me dizzy. And I didn't see any sort of protective equipment. Better not let OSHA see them.
ReplyDeleteTeachers are the best at 'Honey Dos'. That's because we all marry the best guys to do it! We learned early and fast:)
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope you won't have to go to such heights to complete your 'honey-do' list.
ReplyDeleteI think all husbands need a "honey do list"...it keeps them out of trouble. ;)

One thing nice about having been a teacher, "I had all sorts of "practice" being retired during those three wonderful months.
ReplyDeleteI had finally found something I was really good at.
The only thing I wonder about these days is where did I get the time to do things before I retired. I sure don't have it anymore.
I am certain Mrs. T lays awake all night long thinking of jobs for you! I don't do heights..but being in a bucket is much better than a ladder:)
