Errors

It seems my computer guru may have overestimated my ability to adapt to new and upgraded computer system's. He persuaded me that my Windows 7 about to be permanently abandoned by Microsoft was a disaster waiting to happen so I agreed that he should install the wondrous new Windows 10. Checking with numerous friends apparently I'm not the only one puzzled my the difficulty of learning how to operate it basically at all. What a disaster. Too many icons doing too many things that I don't understand or don't need. Now there is a new wrinkle and for some unknown reason I am unable to comment on my blogging friends posts. Therefore this announcement I am perfectly healthy both legs and knees are working fine without pain and so far I have no sign of any deadly viruses. If I'm in any danger of dying solely because of my extreme boredom sheltering in place without any books to read due to the library being closed along with much of everything else in our small town.
Be safe and take care friends. Follow the rules

  1. I am still doing Windows 7 and every day it survives is a good one. Glad you are okay. You can find books online to read and order from bookstores! I see that the virus is getting closer to your area:(

  2. I cannot comment on posts from my iPad but I can from my Macbook. I think it is because the email address registered to my iPad is my husband's and not mine, but so far I have not been able to change it in the right place. That's my theory anyway.

  3. We can read you, so keep posting. A few bloggers have email enabled. You could try that route if you want. Not many though. I have never understood this.

  4. I was forced into Windows 10 by a dead/dying computer. It is overwhelming, but let me know if you need some help and I will talk you through it. My son had to help me. I posted my email on my blog the other day. Hang tough, Ray! Glad you are feeling well!

  6. Your local library on-line allows you to access the Cloud Library. You use your library card number and your PIN to access the Cloud Library.

  7. you boomers are shutting down the entire economy because you're afraid of a flu. Seriously, can you boomers kill yourselves? You are the most selfish generation to ever exist. You don't give a shit about climate change, why should we young people give a shit if you get sick and die of some virus? I HOPE the virus gets much stronger and kills you all.

Do you boomers realize how universally hated you are? There is not one single demographic that does not hate you- white people, black people, asians, mexicans, indians, chinese, millennials, GenX, GenZ. Something tells me that you boomers are not going to have a very comfortable or easy retirement, especially once you end up in the retirement homes.

Can you baby boomers hurry up and fucking drop dead? Enjoy your retirement homes cause we younger people will not take care of you even if we wanted to, due to the shitty economy you boomers created. Do you boomers realize that the younger generation is simply waiting for you to fucking drop dead?

You are all going to end up in retirement homes and we all know that the elderly gets treated pretty badly in retirement homes. Well, that's what you get for ruining your own children's lives. Even if your children WANTED to take care of you, they couldn't, due to you boomers destroying the economy. So I hope you enjoy the retirement homes, boomer scum!

  8. I am still hanging in with Windows 7. I took the free download of 10 when it was offered, didn't like it at all and went back to 7. So far, so good. Thanks for letting us know you are Ok. If you get a Kindle, you can access your library with out leaving the house. They will download your choice then snatch it back in two weeks. I love it.
    Stay Save TB.

  12. Hey Ray, glad you're doing well. Same here. If you have your library card handy, you can install a program called LIBBY on you new computer. It lets you checkout ebooks and audio books from your local library. I LOVE it. Here's a link to the page for installing it. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/libby-by-overdrive/9p6g3tcr4hzr?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

If that link doesn't work here, I'll email it to you so you can click on it. Stay well! Happy reading!

  13. Hi Ray - glad you're ok ... sometimes these things happen - maybe a different browser, or from one type of m/c to another ... don't ask me any thing else - it's trying all things. Take care and hope you can resolve it - Hilary

  15. I hate it when they change stuff on me after I somewhat have it mastered. And, then there is the problem of making all those new passwords.
