A Butterfly Moment In The Sunny Garden

It's a little early for spring fever to set in but I had to admit my mind drifted back to the summer today when we built our new home in the woods next to our old home. We had divided our small acreage in the sale and I'd lost most of my sunny gardens. As the property was split,  about half of just one of the sunny gardens remained. Now I'm a shady gardener who treasures his tiny remnant of partial sun. Take a look.....

  1. From the evidence, I'm sure you do well sun or shade.

  2. You're doing alright for limited sun. Nice topic for a post on a winter day.

  3. Yes indeed. I concur. Thanks for the beautiful pictures and the nice reminder of summer. It's still only February here in New Mexico.

I don't know if you've heard but I understand Punkstawaney Phil didn't even come out of his burrow this year. I guess he has a Twitter account now and just tweeted "Make America Sane Again. Please." And then yawned and drank himself into a coma.

  5. As the snow falls it did me good to see your pictures. The garden is heavenly and I loved the first picture especially.

  6. Beautiful and something I'm looking forward to. I laughed at Bubba's description of the groundhog Phil's twitter account. :-)

  10. Hi Troutbirder! Wow, I think you must have gotten your computer back! Well, you sure have a fine post here, and even a couple more I hadn't seen yet. The flowers in yuur garden look great! Wow, those pictures do me good in this winter time. Any your previous post, with the winter pictures, my oh my! I do admire you sitting by the window in a comfy chair with your books and enjoying that view of all the snow outside. That just seems peaceful to me. And then, those pictures of your trip toot Daloot ... enjoyed those too! :-) Thanks for sharing all! Best regards to you from Seattle!

  13. We don't have a lot of sun either ---and since we grow roses ---we find the sun anywhere we can (including containers on our driveway)...

Beautiful pictures... I'm so ready for SPRING...

    Hugs,
    Betsy
