Now the we spend our evenings on the front porch...... watching the goats across the road. There are eleven of them including five kids. The kids romp and chase. They all (including kids) like to butt heads and climb on the various woods piles.
Of course, what goes around, comes around, and so I've noticed some of our other neighbors have been watching us, as of late, as well.
I would rather watch the goats too. Much more interesting than what they call entertainment now days.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you have just hit on an idea for a new business. Set up a pen of goats near a subdivision and charge the locals 1/2 the price of satalite TV to sit around and watch the goats:) When the goats start to age, sell goatburgers.

How lovely! Do they milk the goats and make cheese?? :-)
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Thank you for stopping by to say hello. It's so good to hear from you! Things are going well at my end, but life keeps me busy. This is a wonderful post. When I was a kid, my aunt raised goats. They're very mischievous and I thought I would grow up and have a million of them. (I have none.) ;-) Your blog looks wonderful. So glad you've kept it up. Hope all is well with you. Keep your eyes open for the mountain lions. They're out there.
ReplyDeleteMy husband Art would be in heaven- he loves goats! His plan is to have one or two when we move up to Hasty. Better than TV by far!!
ReplyDeleteI love goats....once when I was young a goat attempted to eat the buttons off my shirt.....I think I escaped with most of them.....I still love goats.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and great blog.
Love the live animal planet! Watch out for those turkeys though, they can be agressive.
ReplyDeleteTV doesn't amount to much these days - I agree. Cute post.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to watch those little fellows, too! The turkey? I wouldn't worry too much about what he thinks... he'll go into hiding before too very long, anyway! :-)
ReplyDeleteI could definitely spend some time watching the goats. The turkey, well, that just might make me too hungry. ;) *L*
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to see them climb and stand on a heap of something, like they love to do so well!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I wonder if they think you are better than TV too TB?? :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you write.
Too funny. I loved them all, especially the goats.
ReplyDeleteDarn it! Somehow I managed to leave my comment regarding this post on your In The Woods post. Must be too early for me to be on the computer.

Hi TB, you asked about the quotes on my posts. Some are just favorites that I uses more than once but one way to find quotes is to Google 'quotes fish' and get things like this:
ReplyDeleteAll the romance of trout fishing exists in the mind of the angler and is in no way shared by the fish. ~Harold F. Blaisdell
Fishing is the sport of drowning worms. ~Author Unknown
Have a great weekend.

I'm thinking "Get the roaster out--turkey season is just around the corner..."
ReplyDeleteKids are hilarious. Just don't park your car where they can get to it. Hmmmm, I'm thinkin' Thanksgiving dinner?
