Surprisingly, we have no squirrels. Nada. But we do have the occasional raccoon that visits our feeder (we have that same feeder, btw). They tend to rip apart the feeder to get what they want -- so maybe count your blessings? :) I agree with Lynne -- the 2nd photo is priceless!
I used to worry about them cleaning me out, but just bought more food. I hook an ear of corn on a lag bolt attached to a limb with wire.Have 3 stations of these for them to eat.
I love the nonchalant pose in the second photo--he looks like a real character. Your previous post is inspiring, TB--soooo glad to hear that your sweetie is biking again. Your account is a testament both to her strength through it all and to your support and love for her. Wonderful!
Just a side note about squirrels--turns out the ones in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (with Johny Depp) were the real deal, trained to sit on the stools & work the props etc.

ReplyDeleteThat second shot is too cute - it's like he's really telling you what's up!
ReplyDeleteJust like those pushy little beggars. What a great expression.
ReplyDeleteGreat expression there! So, have you fed those squirrels yet??

Oh, that pose is priceless! You got his expression perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI think some of his relatives live down here in Tennessee. The attitude looks very familiar. That second picture is priceless.
ReplyDeleteThose kinds of "regular customers" here have often found themselves in the stew pot.
