back country roads of Bluff Country. Our
friends Steve and Jewel were gone for the weekend and had asked us to help

The land is mostly hills and valleys but there are rolling areas of corn and soybean fields as well.
And a few scattered farmsteads along the way.
Oh. There she is. Her name is Lily She is a "rescued" dog and a real sweetie. She had adopted to farm life very well and guards the property zealously.
Lily follows Mrs. T in hopes that dinner is in the offing!
Daisy has some beautiful surroundings to guard!
ReplyDeletei think she's got a good relief team, there. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always so great to hear wonderful stories about rescued animals and how well they adapt to a new home. :c)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful drive out there. Lucky dog lives in a gorgeous area!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a nice dog. It's truly good when people are willing to rescue an animal and give it a good home.
ReplyDeleteI hope Lily did get her dinner. She's a beautiful dog, and I'll bet she does a great job keeping an eye on the farm.

Back country roads, that's where it's at, however, I do prefer mine paved.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of The Baron and Lily sure strike a chord! We also have GSDs - Becker, our big old boy (140 lbs, 7 years old); Blue, a 3 year old male, blue GSD that we rescued about 2 years ago; and now Dahlia, a 2 year old black female GSD that we rescued from the Humane Society about 2 months ago. Dahlia is heading down to live with our daughter in Florida one of these days - but it's an absolutely wonderful breed!
