The first picture, of the elk on the lawns at the west entrance to Yellowstone, is typical of the place. The rangers have to post volunteers around to keep people from walking up to the animals and posing with them.
Great photos. I've seen that view of elk at Mammoth in Yellowstone. And a donkey we encountered near Monument Valley. What a fun collection this is. I'm sure each one holds some very specific and special memories. I think my fave of the group is the painted bunting.
Troutbirder -- Nice idea to keep a record of all the animals that you have met in your travels. Liked the friendly donkeys looking in the car window. Good post -- barbara
It must be our Minnesota weather today that has us turning to our files.. I started digging up all things green, and barely put a dent in my archives, as well. Animals are great, and I enjoyed your menagerie. Some great shots! We have plenty of porcupines, but I don't think I've ever seen their young before.
I believe that file is headed:

ReplyDeleteI like all the animals you shared. It shows you have traveled around a little because not all of those animals come from your area.
