My little point and shoot wasn't quite up to the half dark and eerie lighting of the cave but it was definitely an fun and enlightening experience for the kids.
Our ranger tour guide in the cave was a former English student of Mrs. T. So the kids got to hear a little bit about their Gramma in a different vein. What fun!
What a fun way to spend with family!
ReplyDeletehow neat - especially the cave guide connection!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the former student gave Mrs. T excellent reviews!
ReplyDeleteThose youngsters help make anything fun. great to enjoy grandkids.
ReplyDeleteFun trip.
ReplyDeleteDo you keep getting a new hat? It always looks like new in your pictures. Mine get ratty looking fast.
Sounds like a fun outing! Your grands are handsome and beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a small world. Hopefully Mrs T got rave reviews! I have no doubt he had some good remarks.
ReplyDeleteAlways interesting to run into former students. They seem to change so much. Guess we do to.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your son and the grandchildren had a great time with you two... The Mystery Cave looked intriguing...
ReplyDeleteLove that last picture of you and the grands.
Hugs,
Betsy
It's so much more fun sharing an experience with grandkids.
ReplyDeleteCaves are a very different dimension of things.
ReplyDeleteI have only been in one cave in my life...and it was in the western Appalachian Mountains. It was deep...and dark....and majestic!
ReplyDeleteLoved it (and was a little frightened by the darkness that entails being deep within the Earth.)
Thank you for sharing your family photos. I'm so glad that you all had such a wonderful time.
Smiles,
Jackie
A happy outing to an interesting place. Hope the Grands liked it in there ... and the stories they were told.
ReplyDeleteThey were getting an education in those caves, it seems. Nice pictures, TB. I think your point and shoot did pretty well! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is always great for kids to hear about their relatives as regular people as opposed to the familiar roles. I remember the first time I heard about my Mom as a young person, I thought, "Wow, wish I had known her then".
ReplyDeleteI imagine that your grand-kids and you had lots to talk about after their cave visit -- something that I feel they won't forget doing with you and Mrs T. Nice photos -- barbara
ReplyDeleteWhat a great opportunity to share so much with your grands and what fun to meet a former student that way!! Precious memories to treasure!
ReplyDeleteThat's so fun! I'm glad you got to have some quality time with the kids. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of taking the kids to the Bonnechere Caves next week.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun. Glad you got more time with the grands!
