Still waiting for my desktop to arrive so in the meantime from 2008 an early post starring Mrs. T's Simba & my best buddy Baron....:)
I've had this strange feeling since last summer. It's like I'm being watched. No, I'm not paranoid. It always happens when seated at the dinner table. I thought at first maybe it was Simba-Lord of Oak Hill (a.k.a. Mr Innocent according to Mrs. T). Well, I would be first to admit he is usually pretty laid back. But I have caught him up on the kitchen counter and the dinning room table, when I was distracted, trying to nab a bite out of the people food.
Ha! Well, at least it's a friendly "spy"......
ReplyDeleteYou had an earlier post that wasn't there of Vancover. Freezing is putting it lightly here
ReplyDeleteYes a cat is watching and waiting in such a subtle way. Dogs on the other hand, you can read their minds as they glare at you right into your eyes. I had to go walk my dog in extremely cold weather because I can't say no to a border collie who is bored to death in the house.
ReplyDeleteFor the dog and cat it may be a matter of fairness. After all, they leave their food bowls where you can get at them any time you want.
ReplyDeleteOh, those poor starving animals!! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteWe never let our animals near the table and now that the kids are grown and gone...the cat actually sits ON the table after dinner. The rules have gone out the door--although we never feed them table food. Nor are they tempted. These cats don't like people food for some reason.
They all like windows...and your Baron looks huge! He knew how to get your attention! :)
ReplyDeleteAn enjoyable read. Oh how I wish my sneaky dogs were with me again. Some days Charlie the puss doesn't seem interested in food - even mine!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, they sure don't look under nourished:)) I do know that feeling of being watched. It can be intense.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful red kitty!
ReplyDeleteWe once had a red, longhair called Baron.
ReplyDeleteGreat memories ... can you believe that it was 9 years ago?
ReplyDeleteMy goodness- he looks huge through the window! Cute kitty- looks very innocent to me. (cats rule, dogs drool) LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Troutbirder! Wow, Baron looks really big in that last photo. :-) This is a neat post. Hope your desktop returns soon. Looking forward to more from your part of the world. Hope you new year is getting off to a good start.
