No No. Of course it's not Moses though Mrs. T. standing in our front yard, has given me more than Ten Commandments to follow over the years.
The burning bush is an object described by the Book of Exodus as being located on Mount Horeb. ... In the biblical narrative, the burning bush is the location at which Moses was appointed by Adonai (God) to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into Canaan.
It's a flaming fine post.
ReplyDeleteHi Troutbirder ... they certainly flame don't they - love it ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely colour. My so-called burning bush wasn't a bit like yours - a big disappointment.
ReplyDeleteThey are all burning around here, too. Those that still have their leaves, that is. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe bush is lovely but so is Mrs. T.
ReplyDeleteOh..the color!! So beautiful! Add your best gal to the mix and it's a lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteI have a couple and this year they really put on a show like yours did. Sadly they are now losing some leaves. Still it was a splendid display.
ReplyDeleteYou have a large bush. I inherited a small one on my new property. I thought it was ugly all winter until I noticed the berries. I won’t be cutting down a burning bush.
ReplyDeleteI miss the big one I had in front of my house in Minnesota. When the sun was at a certain angle it really did look like it was burning!
ReplyDeleteWe planted several burning bushes because I really love them. Unfortunately, the deer consider them a wonderful dessert and kept mowing them down. Finally we gave up. But I love yours.
ReplyDeleteDear Troutbirder, the story of Moses and the Burning Bush has always spoken to me about how we need to take off--figuratively--our sandals before the wonder of one another. Yours is lovely. Peace.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color. We do not have a lot of fall red in New Mexico.

I think of you often and hope all is as well as is possible. Big changes are often hard to bear during the holidays.
