The Burning Bush

No No. Of course it's not Moses though Mrs. T. standing in our front yard, has given me more than Ten Commandments to follow over the years.
The burning bush is an object described by the Book of Exodus as being located on Mount Horeb. ... In the biblical narrative, the burning bush is the location at which Moses was appointed by Adonai (God) to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into Canaan.

  2. It's a lovely colour. My so-called burning bush wasn't a bit like yours - a big disappointment.

  3. They are all burning around here, too. Those that still have their leaves, that is. :-)

  6. I have a couple and this year they really put on a show like yours did. Sadly they are now losing some leaves. Still it was a splendid display.

  7. You have a large bush. I inherited a small one on my new property. I thought it was ugly all winter until I noticed the berries. I won’t be cutting down a burning bush.

  8. I miss the big one I had in front of my house in Minnesota. When the sun was at a certain angle it really did look like it was burning!

  9. We planted several burning bushes because I really love them. Unfortunately, the deer consider them a wonderful dessert and kept mowing them down. Finally we gave up. But I love yours.

  10. Dear Troutbirder, the story of Moses and the Burning Bush has always spoken to me about how we need to take off--figuratively--our sandals before the wonder of one another. Yours is lovely. Peace.
